Previous Funding:
From 2003 onwards, Stories from the Web® has been funded through a subscription
model.
2001/2003
Birmingham, the managing partner authority ensured the continuation of
Stories from the Web® during this period.
August 2000/July 2001
Stories from the Web® was funded by a grant from the DCMS/Wolfson Public
Libraries Challenge Fund, during this time there were a total of twelve
partner library authorities including Bath & North East Somerset, Bristol,
Birmingham, Essex, Hampshire, Kent, Leeds, London Borough of Islington,
London Borough of Croydon, Norfolk, Suffolk and Walsall. In addition the
UK Office for Library & Information Networking (UKOLN) continued to
host the server.
November 1997- March 2000
The original funding was through a Museums, Libraries and Archives Council
(MLA) research grant. Partners during this period included UK Office for
Library Networking (UKOLN), Birmingham, Bristol and Leeds Library Services.
Publishers and Authors played a vital role in supporting the research project.
