What does the KEY mean?

Stories from the Web is Changing!
The team at Stories from the Web are now developing special activities and games only for use by children in member areas to enjoy.  Wherever you see the key next to an activity you will need to Log In with your child to be able to join in.

Look to see if you live in a member area

If you live in a member area

  1. Look in the About Us area to find your nearest library and get in touch with them for your username and password.
  2. You and your child will then be able to join in with all the activities.
  3. You and your child will be able to send in drawings, writing and book views and enjoy other activities.
  4. Enjoy seeing your child’s work displayed in the special ‘Gallery’ for children in your area. The great thing is it will be in the ‘Gallery’ on Stories from the Web forever!
  5. Look in the online library catalogue for your area to see if they have books you have seen and reserve books online from your library.
  6. Look at useful information on supporting your child with their reading.

There are a lot more KEY activities coming soon!

What can you do if you live in an area that is not a member?

  1. Join in with activities without the KEY next to them.
  2. Have a look at the work sent in by children and young people in our member areas in the worldwide Gallery.
  3. Ask your library if they have found out about joining www.storiesfromtheweb.org
