I think that the Dead Man's Cove is a fantastic. I read this book thinking that it was going to be good and I was right. I think it is a very inspiring book, and it is trying to say that you should not get into mischief. Before I swapped my book to Mimi I read it again and I got the message truly, and it is saying that it is hard to lose family.

It was really funny and enjoyable and as soon as a question was answered another one was asked. My favourite character is Wither as he was ALWAYS grumpy! I really enjoyed reading Ghostly Holler-day. My favourite parts are where Tabitha is doing her polterghiest magic and where Pamela is always screaming as she is scared of everything. My favourite character is probably Tabitha because I like how she is a polterghiest. The setting is really good because it made me get a clear picture in my head as though I was there. The storyline was good because when a problem is solved another problem pops up. I can't wait for another book like it.

My favorite character is Tabitha because in the story it seems like she has got a very vivid imagination just like me!
My favorite setting was where the candles were on all of the wall's, It seemed very haunted!
I also enjoyed the different types of phrases like frighten, I-scream, The still alives and whisped,Whisped was my favorite phrase because it felt like ghostes were swooshing past you!

It was an interesting book with question after question but I thought it was confusing time to time and could have explained some things more. I loved the characters they are all so unusual and full of different stuff and crazy names. The setting was good but some things could have been expained more. I loved it when Wither thought the ghost train was a train back home. If I had to choose a favourite character it would be Alfie Spectre because of how sneeky he is and how he steels the watches for money then get the watches back wow. I thought it was great but a few odd ones I loved it well some of it.

I like your book it's really good. You ended it really well and the beginning, my favourite part, was when the wedding was getting organised. Throughout the book some parts were funny, for example, when Dad went bursting in to Conor's room and snatched his drumsticks, later on he snapped them. And some parts were sad, for example, when Conor was walking up to the shed and he burst into tears. I like your book:)

From the sweet shop to the wedding, Mimi lives an exciting, but sad life. Her mother is dead and her sister runs away!
I think that this book was funny because it had some hilarious jokes in it. It was also sad because her dad was depressed all the time because her mum had died.
Throughout this book, her dad realises that he has been a bad father and hasn't been caring about his children's health. When they get a bad dentist review he becomes extremely angry and furious at them.
This part is a bit scary because you don't know what bad thing he would do next. When Sally ran away it made me even more sorry for Mimi because she only had Conner and her dad left.
When she came back I was relieved because I thought she was dead like her mother.

We have been reading Mimi. I wasn't so keen on it at first, but as we kept on reading it, I got into it, and it was really good! I gave it 9/10. I liked it because it was funny when Mimi's friend kept texting her funny jokes and it was quite sad because Mimi's mum had died and when they were tidying up the house and the back garden it was very sad, when her dad told Connor to tidy the shed. Then Connor ran off to his bedroom. It was very sad and joyful.

I think it was a amazing book to read it was funny and sad. It was sad that Mimi's mum got ran over but it got funny when you get more into the story. When Aulua told Mimi the jokes but she didn't get them. It was worrying when Sally ran away, but I enjoyed the bit with Aunt M when she got married.

I would rate the book 10/10 :D

Mimi is a great book but has some flaws. The plot is very good as it left you clues that as the story progressed helped people understand it, but the setting is unimaginative. Orla's Jokes are ok and some very funny. Overall I really like the book, but there are better.

The book made me feel heavy hearted, I couldn't even begin to think how terrible it would be if I lost my mum, like Mimi had. However, I really enjoyed it. I would like to read the book again. This book was about a giant who is really tiny. Every other giant laughs at his size and it makes me feel sorry for him. When he visits the museum, the clerk mistakes him for a younger giant and says the trip is for seniors only.

Further on in the story he gets caught in a massive plot which includes erupting volcanoes, kidnapping and pretending to me a smalling (human). This part is really exciting and gets me hooked. Although I don't like the ending because it is a bit repetitive. When he's taking his exams he should of succeded but he failed.

I rate this book

I leant some facts about the world war like: the air raid sirens. I didn't know they had diffrent sirens for diffrent things. I wanted to read more because the book leaves you on a cliffhanger loads of times. Just when you think something is sorted, another problem pops up. I think that the Time Train To the Blitz is a very historical book it is about two children who travel back in time to Blitz. They find them selves in the London underground (air-raid shelter)they meet a boy called Alfie who, on the train were told that he would die at 4:05pm. On top of that when they meet Alfie he aims to go to the house and warn his deaf grandmother when a Police Man comes and tells them it's not safe obviosly because the air-raid siren is going off. Alifie ignores that warning with Joe, Scarlett and Pippy just going with the flow they go to the house .

We did World War 2 in History because it linked well with the story. It was a great book I could image being in the blitz in London. It was an epic adventure to save Alfie so he can get back home. For example when the the bomb crashed down on Alfie's house and they got trapped inside the house then they went to the basement to get to the other house from the old house. It was exciting when Joe had to get a some sort of iron pole to budge the iron cart. To save Alfie and he only had about 9 minutes.

I liked this book it was fun; exciting and stimulating. It had a good plot and the characters were very intresting. The setting was extremely good and it gave a glimpse into the past the only problem was it was slightly easy to predict. The London blitz was a faboulas place to set the story. Overall I enjoyed the suspense and the book in general. I could really picture the place in my head.

I think that the book was slightly cheesey. The book had quite good characters however I did not hear the author describe the scene much. It gave absoloutly no indication on how or what the train was. Some of it was quite odd and I didn't understand the plot however I liked the action scenes E.G: When Pippy was fighting big Rex.
This is not necicarily a big factor but I did not find out Pippy's gender?

I would reccomend this to 7-9 year olds and it resembles other historical action/mystery books.

I hope you are writing more books like that because I will be the first one in the queue. When Mrs asked if it was your best book so far I was the first one to put up my hand up. I liked it because there was bombs, adventure and I liked it how you made them get back in time for tea.

We have been reading Time Train to the Blitz in class. I thought that the book was alright but not absalutley great because the ending could be more imaginative. Scarlet and Joe wouldn't die in the bomb. Although this is the case the rest of the book was great! When you start the book you feel like you don't want to put it down. My favorite bits were.......
When the train came and picked them up
When Pipi came just before the train went to go back home.

I could visualise the characters throughout the story.

Over all I would give this book 5/10

I did like the story because it was exciting the settings were alright, the characters where intresting, when the bomb was in grandma's house I got on the edge of my seat because I didn't know what was going to happen with Alifie and his grandma would make it but Joe and Scarlet suseceded their mission. It was very good. I gave it 4/10

This is the best book and I loved were Alfie is thinking about his death grandma before himself. It had good words. It didn't make you want to read on. I thought that Pippy had died. I would rate this book 9/10.

Time Train to the Blitz!
This book was extremely epic and kept you hooked.
Our favorite bits were:
During the air-raid, when the bomb goes through the roof and creates a shock wave. Although, they had no idea what it was. This is one of our favorate bits because it was like a great big puzzle you had to solve.
When they were going back to the present. I like this part of the book because they see that they had an smashing adventure. The news article that they read shows that Alfie told the interviewers about them. Once they're back, the sky was clear again and not on fire. They were also back in their normal clothes.
We would rate this book 10/10 and recomend it for 9-13

Hi I am Lara and if you are looking for a good book this is the one. It is descriptive and a jolly good book, the only thing to improve is the end, I don't like it saying and we sat down for tea you could of made it better like including the reader.
