Raving Reviews

Review of Claudia Kishi Middle School Drop Out by Ann M. Martin

Review by Leanne, aged 13, from Buckie, Scotland.    Rating: Brilliant.

Tell us what you thought of the story.
I thought the story was brilliant because it showed me what it was like for people that had to repeat a year at school and it also made me think about how hard and traumatizing it would be for someone in real life.

Favourite character and why?
My favourite character was Claudia because she was the main character and it was her who went through everything awful in the story.

Who will the book appeal to most and why?
The book would most appeal to teenage girls because the characters are round about there age and it would also appeal to girls that liked babysitting and enjoyed being around children.

Would you recommend the book and why?
I would tell my friends to read this book because I think they would like to know what it was like for someone having to repeat a year in school.

Could any improvements be made and how?
I don't think any improvements can be made in this book as it is really good the way it is.
