2010 is the 27th anniversary of The Northern Children's Book Festival. Each year seems to bring a bigger, better Festival and this year promises to be even more spectacular.

The 27th Northern Children’s Book Festival Gala Day is being hosted by South Tyneside Libraries on Saturday 20th November and promises to be one of the most spectacular yet!

Come and join in the fun at Mortimer College, where as well as enjoying presentations and workshops from twelve popular children’s authors and illustrators, library services across the North East of England will be delivering exciting crafts and activities.
