Stories from the Web ensures that this website is a safe place for young people. We do not have chat facilities on the site although there is an opportunity for young people aged 11-14 to join in with the latest discussion and writer's forum. The Stories from the Web team read and moderate every piece of work sent in before it goes live on the website. We only publish first names of young people and remove any other personal information. See our Data Protection Statement for more information on how we use information sent into us via the website.

Data Protection

Any personal information your child sends into to us will only be used by Stories from the Web for internal purposes such as research, contests, editorial direction, and may sometimes be included in our database. However, such information will not be posted or published by us, nor sold, rented or provided to any third parties. Stories from the Web will not use or will not pass on to other organisations any personal information for commercial purposes.
